Danny is joining us with his wife Lillian after working for 16 years as missionaries in China. He got his bachelors at UCSD and his PhD in History at UCLA. He loves hiking, camping, rock climbing, guitars, books, and spending time with their dog, Banjo, and two daughters!

Shy is one of the founding members of first love and graduated from Pomona in 2020 with a major in Public Policy Analysis-Economics and a minor in Chemistry. He is currently teaching high school Chemistry and likes “to be bullied by 15 year old sophomores in my chemistry classes.” His favorite verse is 2 Kings 1:26.

Michael and Lani Mow helped to launch first love in 2019 and love to see college students learn to follow Jesus. They love eating at new restaurants, traveling, playing pickleball, and spending time with their two young boys. Michael has a Master of Theological Studies from Gateway Seminary and a Master in Biomedical Engineering and works bi-vocationally as a local pastor in Claremont and in quantitative finance.
